Saved Christian Women Should Not Wear Jewelry?!

I was driving to work this morning in deep worship (my car usually serves as a mobile tent revival). My quiet time with the Lord is mostly in the car on my way to work. It’s my time when I’m not running behind my toddler or taking care of my husband. Today as I was listening to “Whatever it Takes” by God’s Chosen I started to think about the things God shared with me for Day 4 of the devotional. Most readers are on Day 5 so this should not be too much of a spoiler to their journey. Here’s a brief snippet. Have a bless day!!

Day 4: The Closet…Modesty and the Christian Woman
Scripture: 1 Peter 3:3-4
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold or of putting on of apparel. But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Anecdote: Let’s just dive right in.
….“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”
John 5:39

I took on the task. I searched the scriptures and this next portion of the scriptures just about settles the modesty of godly women debate….

Prayer: Lord, guide me when I shop with the money that you have blessed me with. Father, I know that my enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy but You have come……
Song: Whatever it Takes by God’s Chosen®
God’s Chosen Whatever it takes
Meditation: Psalm 29:2
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Emphasis should be more of our inner man, what comes out of us how we love our loved ones and even our enemies, our love for our Lord Jesus Christ but not focusing our attention on what we wear, the time we spend in front of the mirror and the craze for surgery to look “good”. If the latter is emphasized then there is a problem. It’s not about wearing jewelry or not, when we have Christian women with no jewelry even ears are not pierced yet they hate each other and love not.
